WELCOME to Kim Sabel Studio. I’m so happy you’re here!
I’ve been creative all my life, engaging in many creative endeavors - from drawing, painting & firing ceramics, cross-stitching to scrapbooking, decorating planners, and even interior design and dance! A love of art & design, music and dance have been more than hobbies, they are my passions and life would be so drab without them!
Professionally, I’ve been blessed to have made my living from being creative. I’ve owned several creative businesses, worked in-house at creative companies leading creative teams, and worked with amazing clients (of all sizes!) as a freelance and licensed artist.
My specialty is designing branded products in the stationery, gift, craft, home décor, party and kids’ markets - as well as designing marketing materials and branded environments to support the sales of these products.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
✦ Co-founded an international design & manufacturing business, running it for 12 years, with products sold in Target, Michaels, Bed Bath & Beyond, Crate and Barrel and more. Designed several branded tradeshow booth displays per year, overseeing fabrication and assembly. Oversaw all marketing activities including print ads, catalogs, website, tradeshows. Innovated new product types in the industry, winning several consumer-voted awards.
✦ Developed a unique line of dimensional placemats, sold in Crate & Barrel and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
✦ Worked in-house at Michaels, a multi-billion-dollar craft & décor company, leading a team of designers to research trends and design beautiful products. Some of the Halloween items I worked on were featured on The Today Show in September 2025!
✦ Chosen as one of 30 winners from over 5,000 entries in a Pottery Barn Teen wall art contest, securing a spot to sell my art in PB Teen stores and online
✦ Licensed my art to manufacturers making all kinds of products including wall art, fabric, wallpaper, giftwrap, apparel, stationery, albums, invitations, kids’ decor and more!
