KI MEMORIES, INC. | Trade show exhibits
Kim designed and oversaw fabrication of many trade show exhibits during her ownership of KI Memories. The team attended 3-4 industry shows per year including the National Stationery Show, Surtex, CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) and others. Additionally, the company attended several smaller consumer shows and trade shows around the country each year.
Kim’s booth designs were always a talk of the shows and drew many customers and much excitement. She used lighting in creative ways, as both a functional and decorative feature to illuminate product and draw attention to branded displays. Kim designed and oversaw the installation of all graphics in the exhibits, and strived to show the brand and its products in creative, out-of-the-box ways to inspire retailers and customers alike. Her booths were known for their floating acrylic product displays, and “store window” features that rotated with each show, to fit the season.

LOVE, ELSIE® | Trade show exhibits
Love, Elsie was a collaboration between Kim Sabel and Elsie Larson, founder of A Beautiful Mess lifestyle blog. The brand featured a variety of themed collections (each one featuring a named character) for scrapbooking and paper crafting. Elsie’s signature quirky illustration style came to life in this brand, whose name, brand elements, trade show exhibit and many product types were conceived by Kim. Kim also oversaw an internal art staff to create final product art and marketing collateral from Elsie’s illustrations. The trade show exhibit was themed like a diner/kitchen and included an outer wall with flower boxes, windows, a real sink and fridge covered in Elsie’s personal photographs. The brand and product line was highly successful and sold in boutiques and chains worldwide from 2006-2009.
