WELCOME to Kim Sabel Studio. I’m so happy you’re here!

I’m an experienced creative/art director, designer and illustrator in Fort Worth, Texas. My specialty is creating branded products in the stationery, gift, craft, home décor, party and kids’ markets - as well as designing marketing materials and branded environments to support these products.

I have twenty years of experience that includes running an international design & manufacturing business for 12 years, with products sold in Target, Michaels, Bed Bath & Beyond, Crate and Barrel and more. I also worked in corporate America in trend and product design, leading a team of designers for Michaels, a multi-billion-dollar craft & décor company. I now license my art to manufacturers and also do custom work for companies needing design for a variety of uses. Read more about my story as a designer here.

20-YEAR CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

  • co-founded a paper crafting business in 2001, named KI Memories - at the age of 26

  • together with her husband and co-founder, grew the business into a highly successful brand with products in Target, JoAnn Stores, Michael's, and thousands of boutiques worldwide

  • developed several other brands under the same company umbrella, also with successfully-selling product lines

  • designed several branded tradeshow booth displays per year, overseeing fabrication and assembly on site

  • oversaw all marketing activities including print ads, catalogs, website, tradeshows

  • created new product categories in the paper craft market, which garnered industry-specific product awards

  • developed a unique line of dimensional placemats, sold in Crate & Barrel and Bed, Bath & Beyond

  • licensed art for products including greeting cards, gift wrap, stickers, patterned paper, stamps, albums, invitations, home goods and more

  • chosen as one of 30 winners from over 5,000 entries in a Pottery Barn Teen wall art contest, securing a spot to sell her art in PB Teen stores and online
